SiC is a wide-bandgap semiconductor material suitable for making high performance UV sensors, which can totally reject visible light. SiC UV sensor has the advantages such as small size, high sensitivity, visible blind, low power consumption and high reliability. Compared with GaN-based UV sensors, although SiC UV sensors require higher manufacturing cost, they have outstanding high temperature stability and low leakage performance. The long-term working temperature of SiC UV sensor chips can exceed 400℃, making them very suitable for UV sensing applications under extremely harsh conditions.
